Berlin 12 in 1
To make the most of your time in a city that in the early twentieth century was the largest in the world, this tour is designed for you. Customized to your interests, between 3 and 5 hours, you will have an introduction into the origins and most important events of the past 750 years in Berlin.
Starting from the square Alexanderplatz with the imposing Television Tower (Fernsehturm), we walk along both flanks of the historical Unter den Linden avenue with the Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) and the "Island of Museums" (Museumsinsel), the "Frederician Forum" (Humboldt University, State Opera House, St. Hewdig Catholic Cathedral and Royal Library) – until reaching the old Main Square (Gendarmenmarkt).
We will visit the area around the former border crossing Checkpoint Charlie and walk through the world famous Brandenburg Gate towards the west, where the German Parliament Building (Reichstag / Bundestag), the futuristic Potsdamer Platz, the Victory Column (Siegessäule) and the historical avenue Kürfurstendamm are located.
Night time in Berlin
When you visit any capital city, you cannot leave without having seen it from two perspectives: day and night.
Berlin is certainly no exception. Under the natural daylight and artistically placed night lighting, the most popular attractions of Berlin are shown from diametrically opposed optics.
In fact, it is only at nightfall when the most representative details of the historic architecture in the so-called Jewish Quarters, the results of reunification in the modern government district after the fall of the Wall and the futuristic square Potsdamer Platz, reveal what is not visible to the naked eye.

The roots of Berlin
Already in the 6th century BC there is a human presence in the area corresponding to the current historical center of Berlin (Mitte). However, it is not until the middle ages that two small settlements on both sides of the river Spree – Berlin and “Cologne on the Water“ (Cölln am Wasser) – will see the emergence of the future capital of the Brandenburg region; later, the residence of the kings of Prussia and the German emperors.
Wars, natural disasters, violent political and social changes, a new reality after decades of deep division erased the traces of the original site. But, not completely: defiant before the passage of time, the oldest church in town, the only remaining part of the fortress that once surrounded and defended the original settlements, the oldest market square, the most important and biggest synagogue erected in german territory and the last buildings of an almost forgotten housing complex built outside the ancient city walls and the remanents of "Cologne", are scattered in the area of Nikolaiviertel and Jüdisches Viertel (Saint Nicholas and Jewish Quarters).
